The Chiaraje (Canas)

This is a war game, or pucllay, in which the peace-loving members of the community do battle to enhance the fertility of the soil. Those who occupy the largest area of land and force the enemy to retreat, win. This war game takes place on the Chiaraje plains (4,700m.a.s.l.) in Canas Province.
