Archeologists in Peru recently discovered an unknown part of the Inca road, which was the largest and the most advanced transportation system in South America before the arrival of the Spaniards. Special about this section is that it brings us right to the famous Inca citadel Machu Picchu. The discovered road, with a length of around one and a half kilometer and a width of between 1.2 and 1.4 meters, offers an extraordinary and unknown view of the village area at Machu Picchu. A part of the road exists of a nearly five meter long tunnel which is still intact. This tunnel is constructed with the typical Inca shaped rocks.
