Helping students in Cusco to a better access to the latest technology

The big technology company Samsung Electronics is planning to open a new “Smart School” location in Cusco to grant students access to today’s technologies. Ever since the start of the program in 2013, Samsung has built up a list of 140 “Smart Schools” all over the world in 18 different countries.

The Smart School initiative doesn´t provide actual schools, but locations where children can make use of electronic blackboards, tablets, PCs and other electronics they usually don’t have access to.

Samsung’s latest addition to the list of Smart School is located in Cusco, Peru and aims at providing young Peruvian students with the benefits of the latest technology and better opportunities. Students of the Smart Schools describe their experience as “learning about the wold”. Samsung hopes to impact the development of the region by providing a platform for students to “explore” the rest of the world.
