On Sunday March 15th in the evening, as we were all preparing for the start of a new work week, we got the shocking national announcement from the president of Peru that we were entering a nationwide quarantine and state of emergency with the closure of all borders by land, air and sea. People in Cusco could not leave their homes, spend time outside; travel and we had to follow a strict and mandatory curfew....

The Sacred Valley Brewing Company Shines
The Sacred Valley Brewing Company from Cusco has recently gotten a lot of publicity for its award-wining brews. Peruvians and tourists alike flock to this site for their famous beers.

Kick-off Inti Raymi 2016

More tourists to Cusco!
In 2015 a total of 1,862,900 foreign tourist came to Cusco. This accounts for a significant increase from the previous year of almost 11%. These numbers were revealed by Peru’s Central Reserve Bank.

On Sunday, April 10th, general elections began in Peru starting at 8 am. This is the fourth time that a democratic process has been used to elect the leaders that will govern Peru for the next 5 years.
