Two missing Israelis are now confirmed dead after a rafting adventure on Peru’s Apurimac River, south of Cusco. The raft tipped over carrying the two Israelis together with six other tourists.On the 9th of October, three days after they went missing, the first body was discovered along the banks of the river. Saturday the body of the second victim, a young male, was found. The other tourists and a guide could be rescued and are recovering in Cusco. Israeli government helped and sent rescue members to find the missing duo. The body of the second victim has been transported to Cusco to be identified. The Israeli consul in Peru is now preparing to repatriate the body.Hilik Magnus, founder and chief officer of Magnus International Search & Rescue, says the organizers of the raft expedition seem to have fled. The business has closed and the owners are nowhere to be found.
